Your first few moments in Stranger Place involve feeling confused and lost. This initial experience mirrors the protagonist's mental state, emphasizing how unfamiliar she is with the world. When prompted, she follows instructions provided by the game to escape her predicament. You open another door and find yourself in an old warehouse with a self-defense cane. After walking through the door, you unexpectedly run into a one-eyed professional dancer. You don't have time to understand what's going on. You only need to say hello to him once and he knocks you off your feet with a powerful blow. Then, he cages you without anyone noticing. As you progress further in your escape journey, you learn that every time you encounter an ugly dwarf, you have to quickly turn your back and flee. Doing this enables you to slip through the iron bars and continue your journey. Additionally, you’ve come to understand that any time you wake up with cuts in the iron bars of your cell, it’s a sign that loose cells are nearby. To survive in this place of the devil and find a way out, you must find a wrench for self-defense, a knife, instructions in the pressurized room to adjust the cockpits, creating a local explosion in this building, and codes to open mysterious boxes. After that, you must find the code to open the mysterious boxes and dig an important one leading to the next clue. Inside a room secured behind iron bars lies a collection of papers with a different list of numbered items. Unlocking the door to this room requires decoding the final set of numbers for the elevator. When you call these numbers, the surrounding area will fade away until it disappears from your perception. You find yourself in an old vehicle with a honking siren—someone has summoned the police. You’re disoriented and unsure of where you are as your assailant may dash out from the car or door. From that point, this macabre adventure comes to a shocking close.

A Stranger Place has four levels that can be played at any time after starting the game. The levels are Easy, Normal, Hard and Ghost, each with their own rules. Playing the game will require a lot of time due to its four levels; however, this can be offset by choosing the Ghost level. In order to escape the strange place, you must follow the instructions that appear anywhere. These instructions direct you through a role-playing, puzzle and adventure game. They appear when you're in any location. Finding a way out of the cage quickly is a feat because once imprisoned, the dwarf constantly monitors for any ways out. Should he discern an escape route, he quickly fires one shot and flings the player into the next cell. Selecting objects in the game and figuring out puzzles are the main operations. Critical to these tasks is learning how to solve the game's puzzles. For example, when in a large room that appears to be an old office, you need to figure out a code to open the door with the piggy bank inside. In the past, when retrieving a key from a letter dropped into a homeowner's mailbox, a perplexing message found within the envelope demands the recipient explore the building's seventh floor. Because of the damaged stairway up that route, this must be done another way. During the game, the dwarf constantly circles you, hoping to snare you. This is how the game works. You have the ability to toy with the diabolical dwarf by effectively running away when he appears. But he has the ability to sneak up on you at any time and ensnare you in his cage. This can happen many times throughout any duel. Alternatively, you can lure the creature into a specific room and close the door. The door latch requires the attention of this slow-witted dwarf for several minutes before she can open the door again to pursue you. The puzzles in this game are extremely difficult. Even if you manage to solve one, you’ll probably need to backtrack multiple times to find what you’re looking for. This makes the game easy to manipulate but difficult to finish.

The game uses dark, 3D graphics that are easy to understand. The gloomy color of the game's surrounding environment makes everything even more frightening when played in first person. Your first impression of the evil dwarf who kidnapped you is that he's ugly and funny at the same time. When you first see him, his clumsy dance is even more frightening. But when you look around this strange place where you feel like you're lost, you don't see or hear anyone. You know who you are, but you don't know where this place is or why no one else seems to be around. The drug addiction in A Stranger Place stems from its protagonist feeling self-conscious and afraid of being seen by other people. With only a few jumpscares, I enjoy the visuals in this game. Background music adds to the atmosphere of any horror game. A Stranger Place uses discrete background music— which is both soft and loud when dwarves appear — to change the game's pace constantly. The realistic sound effects of the game keep you on edge and impatient. Unlocking sounds, the dwarf's screams and footsteps all function correctly. The more I perceive the situation as real, the more panicked I become. This is funny to me, so I included it in my work. Playing this game with audio cues is highly recommended; it'll be incredibly satisfying!
