"Why I can't open this app?" - This theme can NOT be opened as usuall app. To apply Note 5 Theme you need go to CM Theme Chooser and select N5 Theme.

"Periodically System UI or Theme crashing" - It is doesn't means that app is unfinished or developer is silly and can't fix it. The main reason of crashes are unstable / modified ROMs (experimental / nightly CM builds).

"How often will this theme get major updates?" - It is Paid app,so, major updates will be frequently. Almost every week including major updates and minor bug fixes (if there are any bugs at the time :-P).
