The RPG game Monster Musume TD features beautiful girl monsters as playable characters. It tasks the player with fending off hostile hunters while spending time with his or her monster girlfriend. This also applies if one skips the tutorial altogether with no time wasted. It was fulfilling to start with a legend unit you chose as your favorite over 70 games in tact. Even when in battle, strategic thinking was required due to the emphasis on manipulation when forming units, activating skills and summoning allies.

Units have training menus like level and equipment that track changes in class. They also have a cost and the higher the cost, the greater the chance of latent awakening— which lowers the unit’s cost. Acquiring multiple of the same unit allows for reduced costs and additional abilities. These units work well in forming units early on because they’re easier to use with latent awakening.

You can decide to proceed through the tutorial first or bypass it. Skipping the forced progression portion of the stage clears the forced progression part itself. In order to learn the story, watch the accompanying tutorial. Some stages use the story in full voice. Tower defense-style battles take place between defensive towers. Build up a gauge that gradually places allied units at each point to block enemy attacks. You can move units placed within the gauge by consuming it. When enemies appear along a certain path, move a powerful unit in that direction. ———
